After graduation Rachel worked in Interior Design and Magazine Editorial as a Designer and Features Editor before starting RMD in 2004. Since inception she has worked hard to grow a business with a solid reputation built on good relationships with her clients & suppliers. Working on many prestigious projects, many for high net worth clients from business and the media, RMD has created an impressive portfolio and reputation in the area.

Rachel would say that her own design preferences veer towards a Transitional aesthetic that combines modern style with traditional design. She loves modern classic and artistic with a luxurious feel. However RMD pride themselves on having a very wide and varied style for their clients. Whatever the project, we work with our clients to create something unique and special to them.

Rachel is passionate about design and creating beautiful spaces for clients: “Your surroundings make such an impression that getting them right can be life changing. In a business it can also be incredibly valuable.”

As a Registered Interior Designer of the British Institute of Interior Design (BIID), Rachel’s work has undergone a rigorous interview process, is monitored, and must adhere to best practice standards, giving you complete peace of mind.

Nicky has worked alongside Rachel for over 5 years now. She has a timeless, sophisticated style to every interior she designs. With a background in floristry, styling is certainly an art that Nicky has perfected. Nicky has a considerable skill in creating interest through shapes, textures and positioning.

Kathy has worked as a key part of the RMD team for nearly 5 years.

She has an exceptional eye for detail and has a love for relaxed, timeless and effortlessly elegant interiors.

Kathy works on commercial and high end residential projects and brings her skills to both sectors, and projects to life to the highest of standards.

Since joining RMD just over a year ago, Summer has brought a fresh and thoughtful approach to both residential and commercial projects. With a BA (Hons) in Interior Design, Summer combines creative flair with practical knowledge, always aiming to create spaces that feel timeless and refined. Summer’s love of fabrics and attention to detail play a key role in developing layered, luxurious interiors that reflect each client’s vision.

With a strong technical background and a BA (Hons) in Architecture, Lucy plays a key role in delivering the detailed side of our projects. She works across both residential and commercial schemes, focusing on lighting plans, joinery details, and other technical elements that bring designs to life. Her precision and knowledge ensure every space functions as beautifully as it looks. Lucy is also involved in designing schemes, combining her creative ideas with technical skills to help bring each project together.

Zoe ensures RMD’s finances and purchasing run smoothly, managing bookkeeping, invoicing, and supplier payments with great attention to detail. She oversees procurement, coordinating deliveries and maintaining strong supplier relationships to keep projects on track. With her proactive approach and financial expertise, Zoe supports the team’s seamless day-to-day operations.
