Project Description

TRAVEL INCORPORATE OFFICES

MANCHESTER

RMD was approached by Incorporate Travel to design their new offices on Commercial Street, in the city centre of Manchester. RMD’s initial approach to the brief was several meetings with the board to discuss various ideas and concepts, surrounding the idea of business travel, the Manchester location and how we could incorporate the new branding into the scheme.  The new branding consisted of a “company story” about a swallow which travelled the world.  The concept behind the story was how their small business has grown to reach the four corners of the earth.  The swallow has become the company’s new logo and is used in all its branding, in a selection of colours against a white background.  The basis of the colour scheme was a monochrome background, bringing in splashes of colour.  The Manchester location was integrated into the overall scheme by the use of a more urban/industrial style of furniture and lighting, with the hints towards travel being found throughout by the use of photography and art/accessories installations.

The floor plan and internal walls were designed per the client’s requests for a main accounts office, a directors’ board room, a reception area, a meeting room, a sales office and a kitchen/break-out area.
